Pruritis. Many things cause rectal
itching, including
hemorrhoids or irritation in the delicate tissues around
the anus. Some of the common causes of Rectal Itching are:
Skin disorders, such as
psoriasis or
eczema.
Diabetes or
liver diseases.
Vaginal infection in women.
Pinworms.
Certain foods can increase rectal itching. To help relieve rectal itching,
avoid foods such as coffee, tea, colas, alcoholic beverages (including beer),
chocolate, tomatoes, spicy foods, and excessive amounts of vitamin C for
a minimum of 2 weeks.
